Real estate company celebrates a new Guinness World Record
Re/Max Randgro's recent collection of 21 221 personal hygiene items for the underprivileged saw the real estate company beat the Guinness World Record of 20 000 units.
Boksburg and Benoni community members came in their numbers to donate items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, tissues and toilet paper.
Items were collected over two days (August 25 and 26) at the Re/Max offices in Boksburg and Lakefield.
There were several other collection points at retailers around Boksburg and Benoni.

The estate agency will distribute these much-needed personal hygiene items to 30 certified NGOs.
Boksburg charities to benefit from the collection are Huis Dien Bothma, Urban Ruins and the St Francis Care Centre, among others.
In 2014, Re/Max Randgro set a new Guinness World Record with the help of Boksburg and Benoni pet lovers who collected 15 493 kilograms of dog and cat food.
The estate agency is awaiting official confirmation of the record from the Guinness authority on world records.
