Learners were encouraged to be aware of the importance of a litter-free environment both from an aesthetic and hygienic perspective.
Wearing their special badges depicting their pride in keeping Freeway Park Primary School litter-free, learners sang songs while picking up papers.
Learners were encouraged to bring as much paper as possible to place in the recyclable bin to be recycled.

According to the school, the aim of the exercise was to teach learners the importance of recycling and also filling up the Mpact Recycling box as the school has entered the Mpact recycling competition.
Lastly, the learners were taught about the importance of saving water and making a positive difference in the society.
