Spokesperson Russel Meiring says paramedics arrived on the scene and were led to where the patient was lying next to a wall.

He was assessed and found to have sustained a serious injury to his leg, and was in a serious condition.

The man was treated on scene and provided with advanced life support interventions before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

It is alleged the man had been building the wall when his leg became pinned by a forklift, driven by another man.
