Stench drives customers away from business in Anderbolt

A company in Main Road, Anderbolt, has had to use sandbags to redirect sewage that was flowing into its premises.

According to Samantha Selales from the business, they have contacted the metro “20 times” regarding the sewage streaming down the road.

They have received three reference numbers, the first of which dates back to March 3. The second reference number was received in April and the last, in July.

The sewage spillage has been affecting the company’s business activities.

“Our customers don’t even want to come into the premises and keep asking what happened and whether we are having it fixed,” said Selales.

The Advertiser contacted the Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson, Themba Gadebe, with regard to the matter.

By the time of publication, no response had been received.
