Peter Holmes: “Prisoners are there to be incarcerated not to be entertained – or to live as if they were on holiday.”
Sifiso Molise: “What happened wasn’t supposed to be made public for everyone to see. I am not saying what happened was right but I just think that it was supposed to be private.”
Rianka Wepener, “What took place at the prison sends a wrong message to children. It suggests that it’s ‘cool’ to go to prison. How can criminals be treated like royalty when pensioners are not given the royalty treatment? I feel tax payers’ money was wasted on this event.”
Ronald Nuiwenhuize: “What took place at the prison was wrong. They were supposed to organise a talent show or something educational for the prisoners.”
George Sekatane: “What took place at that prison was not appropriate. The act degraded the dignity of the correctional service and it also showed how much we don’t respect women. I think the correctional service should have hired singers to sing for the prisoners.”
