St Dominic’s Saints, Saintees take Gauteng champs

The St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls junior and senior teams walked away with top honours at the GMCA (Gauteng Majorette and Cheerleading Association) provincial championships that took place on Saturday, June 3.

The event was hosted by the St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls.

This was the final competition in the province, before the girls go to Durban to compete in the SAMCA (South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association) national championships.

For the first time in a long time, the junior team, affectionately known as The Saintees, won the provincial championships, pushing both St Dominic’s’ junior and senior teams through to KZN as Gauteng champions.

They thank their coaches, Allan Donaldson, Alisha Venter and Jenna-Lee van Niekerk, for their time and dedication to their sport.
