The Reiger Park man, police identified as Ricardo Ruiters, was among four other suspects who were at the time of his escape being escorted by a police officer from Court A to the holding cells.
It is alleged that Ruiters walked out of the court while the officers were still locking the cells.
According to a Reiger Park SAPS spokesperson, Ruiters was initially arrested by the Reiger Park police after they allegedly found him in possession of a small packet of drugs, believed to be Cat.
Detectives are advising the public not to approach him, but to call the nearest police station should they see him. – @FanieFLK
