Leeuwpoort development to be discussed at ward 43 meeting

Residents living in suburbs falling under ward 43 are invited to a public meeting at Sunward Park High School at 6pm on Tuesday, April 11.

According to the ward councillor, Bruce Reid, the rezoning of the farm Leeuwpoort 113 IR into Sunward Park Extension 24 to 29 will be discussed.

According to the metro, contractors will soon start with the construction of more than 22 000 homes in Reiger Park, Parkdene and Sunward Park, as part of the Leeuwpoort development.

Environmental consultants have already finalised the scoping process for the Leeuwpoort Development project in Reiger Park, Cinderella, Sunward Park and Windmill Park.

Consultants are now carrying out the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and encourage residents to partake in this process.

The Leeuwpoort project consists of three integrated residential development areas – in the North (Parkdene Ext 7 and Reiger Park Ext 19) and the South, close to Sunward Park.
