Taking the fight to cancer
The Sunward Park cancer support group known as The Champions meets on the second Saturday of each month at the Trinity Community Church in Sunward Park.
The aim of the group is to share experiences about this disease and give each other moral support in times of crisis.
All church denominations are welcome to attend the group, as cancer knows no boundaries.
The group organisers, Myrtle Bell and Gwen Janse van Rensburg, are themselves cancer survivors.
The group saw 23 members attend the last meeting. All attendees are either cancer survivors or are being treated for cancer.
