According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer Capt Juanita Coetzer, a Beyers Park homeowner’s intercom was pressed during the early hours of the morning, on Tuesday, January 24.
When he answered, a male voice on the other side allegedly requested him to take his wheelie bin outside.
“This is a clever method to get the occupants outside the house, with the possible intention to rob the house,” said Coetzer.
“Please be aware of this and also inform friends and family. Do not go outside; your life may be in danger, as well as those who live with you.”
