On Wednesday, December 7, at about 1.30pm, the boy went for a swim with his friends.
He drowned after it seems he was overpowered by the water.
According to Constable Nkemeleng Mabula from the Dawn Park police station, his friends are all alive but were rushed to the hospital for observation.
