Is Boksburg’s service delivery falling apart? (Video)

Why does the metro take so long to react to certain urgent matters - and what is classified as urgent and what isn't?

Those are questions more and more Boksburg residents are asking, in light of slow reaction to service related matters.

Residents in Wylie Street, Ravenswood, aren’t experiencing any response from the metro in assisting with a water leak in their street.

The pipe, outside 13 Wylie Street, has been leaking since November 25. Thousands of litres of fresh water is flowing down the street and going to waste.

The leak was supposed to be repaired on December 5, but there was no contractor in sight.

* In another incident, Johan Muller logged a burst water pipe in Plantation on December 3, at 6pm.

The complainant has been without water ever since and to date, the pipe hasn’t been repaired.

“What’s the use of the call centre, if the metro only responds to your query days later,” asked Muller.

The Advertiser is awaiting a response from the metro.
