Young man killed in N12 crash
A man, believed to be in his 20s, was killed after his vehicle crashed into a barrier on the N12 east-bound highway.
The accident occurred before the Snake Road off-ramp in Benoni, on November 26.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 4am and found the car lying in the middle of the road.
On closer inspection, paramedics found the body of a man lying trapped inside the wrecked light motor vehicle.
“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had already succumbed to his multiple, fatal injuries.
“Nothing more could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.
“It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the barrier and overturn,” said Meiring.
Local authorities will be investigating further.
