
* Robbery
A Beyers Park woman was on November 19 stripped of her personal adornments when two armed thugs attacked her in Boksburg CBD.
According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Cebisa Mseko, the woman was inside one of the shops on Market Street, when two men, described as coloured males, entered the shop, pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded her necklace and ring.
They reportedly pushed her with such force that she fell to the ground, before they took her precious belongings worth thousands of Rand.
A case of robbery was registered, but the suspects are still at large.
Meanwhile another woman told the police that she was on November 17 walking along Trichardts Road, in Boksburg town, when two unknown brazen crooks held her at knifepoint and stole her handbag, in broad daylight.
* House robbery
A woman and her grandchildren were bound with cable ties during an armed house robbery in their Sunward Park home, on November 21.
The complainant told the police that she and her grandchildren were accosted by three armed men, described as black males, while in the yard.
The robbers walked with the victim into the house where they bound them with the cable ties.
They then helped themselves to the family’s valuable belongings worth about R150 000.
These include jewellery, cellphones, laptop, TV set, microwave and other electrical appliances.
The thugs also stole the victim’s Toyota Corolla.
* Burglary
Thieves forced their way into a business on Main Reef Road, Dunswart, and stole goods worth about R2 500, on November 18.
The stolen goods included a kettle, stove, paint and a radio.
Meanwhile thieves forced their way into a house on Oberon Road, Sunward Park, and stole goods worth about R2 600, while the homeowners were asleep.
The stolen items included a Samsung tablet, TV set, computer accessories and other electrical appliances.
On Friday, November 18, thugs forced their way into a house in Sunward Park Village and stole two TV sets and a kettle. -@FanieFLK
