The drama unfolded at about 1.35am, when balaclava-clad gunmen stormed into the garage convenience shop and held up staff at gunpoint.
The robbers smashed the glass door with a hammer to enter the shop, bombed the drop-safe and helped themselves to the money, before they fled the scene.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
Eyewitnesses told the police that the robbers were driving a white BMW with no registration plates.
