GALLERY: Boksburg Camera Club does well in PSSA National Interclub competitions
At the recent Photographic Society of Southern Africa (PSSA) National Congress held in Langebaan, Boksburg Camera Club did well in the interclub competitions.

In the PSSA newsletter category, Boksburg Camera Club finished first, beating last year’s winner Vanderbijl Park.
The newsletter is run under the auspices of editor, Annemi Taljaard.
According to Percy Mitchel, the newsletter contains various informative articles on photography and photographic techniques, interviews with prominent club members, and news regarding the month’s activities and competitions entered, upcoming planned workshops and outings.
In the interclub website competition, the club’s website (www.new.boksburgcameraclub.co.za) came fifth in the country.
“The interactive website has a host of photography and club-related information such as monthly intraclub competition winners, and online photographic tutorials for club members,” said Mitchel.
In the interclub photography competition, Boksburg Camera Club’s 30-image panel came in third out of all the clubs that entered nationally.
The entries from each competing club’s panels consisted of 15 images from junior photographers (beginner/novice) and 15 images from senior (experienced/professional) photographers.
Anyone who is a new or budding photographer, or professional, is invited to the club evenings. The club currently boasts 80 members.
Boksburg Camera Club meets every second Monday of the month at Baanbreker Laerskool, Boerneef Street in Parkrand, at 6.30pm for 7pm.
