Woman abducted, raped while walking down Railway Street

A woman told the police that she was abducted by an unknown man as she walked down Railway Street and who later raped her.

According to the Boksburg police report, the woman was walking down Railway Street in Plantation at about 7.30pm, September 15, when the rapist abducted her.

“The rapist allegedly walked up to the woman and grabbed her. He then forced her to go with to a couple of undisclosed locations, before he took her to the open space next to Reiger Park Swimming Pool where he sexually assaulted her,” said Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Cebisa Maseko.

“He also demanded money from her. Once done he left her alive at the pool.”

Police said they were still searching for the sexual predator.

* In another crime, thieves forced their way into a residential property in Cinderella, and stole valuable goods.

Meanwhile on September 18, thieves broke into another home in Cason and stole goods worth about R10 000.
