The incident occurred at a block of flats in Keymer Street in Ravensklip, just before 6pm.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said paramedics arrived on scene and found the boy to be in critical condition.

“Paramedics stabilised the boy on scene and thereafter, a Netcare 2 helicopter was dispatched to the scene to airlift the boy to a level one trauma facility,” said Mathe.

A Bokburg resident who notified the Advertiser said: “We are praying that the boy is fine.”
