State vet to assist with free rabies booster vaccination
The Ekurhuleni Metro has confirmed the state vet will provide free veterinary services on Friday, August 12 from 1.30pm until 5.30pm at Boksburg stadium.

This comes after a positive case of rabies was identified in Boksburg.
“We view this as a serious public health risk and strongly urge residents to have their pets vaccinated against rabies.
“This includes animals that may have been vaccinated in the previous year,” said the Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
This contagious and viral disease was identified in Parkrand, Cinderella, Libradene, Farrar Park, Parkdene and Boksburg CBD.
For more information regarding the vaccination process residents may contact the state vet Dr Mpofu on 011 821 7709.
