Though the Advertiser received reports that voting  started a bit late (7.30am) at Laerskool Westwood, things seem to have been progressing smoothly ever since.

The queue at Summerfields Primary School was earlier reported to be a bit long, with the voting process going at a snail’s pace.

Voting at stations such as Whispering Willow was reported to be going according to plan.

Outgoing Ekurhuleni mayor Mondli Gungubele cast his vote in Dawn Park earlier today, and expressed confident that his successor will emerge victorious after the elections.
