Demolition work on Gino’s Building completed

Crews from Rembu Construction have completed the massive demolition of the undesirable double-storey building, at 39 Market Street, in the Boksburg CBD.

Workers started tearing down the structure on June 1, and envisaged finishing the massive project within 17 days.

When the Advertiser visited the site on Wednesday morning, June 15, workers were busy with the removal of the piles of rubble from the demolition site.

The municipality boasted that their contractors had finished demolishing the structure within the stipulated time of 17 working days, adding that the initiative to get rid of ”bad buildings” is part of the Mayoral Clean City Campaign, which seeks to make way for more economic opportunities and to attract tourism.
