For this reason, according to metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, Ekurhuleni has increased the number of personnel on standby to timeously attend to the supply failures that are mainly caused by the high power demand during cold periods.

“The additional personnel will be on standby throughout the winter season to ensure timeous response to supply interruptions,” said Dlamini.

Customers are encouraged to log any service interruptions through the municipal call centre on 086 054 3000 and ensure they receive a reference number for follow-up purposes.
