Two nabbed for dealing in dagga in Van Dyk Park

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members acted promptly upon receiving information about persons suspected to be involved in drug-dealing in Van Dyk Park.

EMPD spokesperson Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago said that subsequent to monitoring of the place for a few days, the metro police raided the property on May 21 at around 10am.

“Officers found dagga valued at R10 000 in one of the rooms,” said Kgasago.

He said a 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with dealing in illegal substance.

“Another suspect, a 24-year-old Mozambican, was arrested for possession of a small amount of dagga,” added Kgasago.

The pair was charged at Boksburg Police Station for possession and dealing in dagga and are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
