Boksburg police arrested two men, who along with two other men allegedly robbed a restaurant on Commissioner Street, Boksburg CBD, on Saturday night, April 23.
According to the Boksburg police, the four armed men were having drinks at a restaurant prior to the attack .
But when the business was about to close late on Friday night the four men allegedly held the barman at gunpoint, and demanded money and other valuable items.
They overpowered the victim, and stole cash, cigarettes, alcohol and jewellery, worth thousands of rand.
They immediately jumped into their getaway car, but before they knew it, the police and ADT security officers were there.
Officers managed to arrest two of the suspects but the others got away, apparently with the loot.
One firearm was found in the suspects’ possession and their car, a Nissan Sentra, was confiscated.
The suspects were charged with business robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Body with gunshot wounds found
The body of an unknown man has been found lying on the street with gunshot wounds in Angelo informal settlement.
The body was found on the morning of April 25 by a female passer-by, who then alerted the police.
Officials do not know what prompted the shooting, but robbery is believed to be the motive for the killing.
It is believed that the man was attacked during the small hours of Monday, April 25.
A murder case has been opened, and investigation continues.

Couple robbed and hijacked at gunpoint
A couple escaped unharmed after thugs robbed them and hijacked their VW Golf 7 while driving along Bender Street, Sunward, on Sunday night, April 24.
The complainants told the Boksburg police that while driving through the area, a white Corsa bakkie stopped in front of their car, and three men jumped out of the car and confronted them.
They instructed the couple to get out of their car, and one of the thugs jumped into the driver’s seat and sped off, leaving the couple stranded on the side of the road.
The car was later recovered abandoned in Vosloorus.
