“Following the information we received from a tip-off by community members, the man was asked to produce a licence to possess a firearm and he failed to do so.
“He was then arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm,” said Const Nkemeleng Mabula, from the Dawn Park Police Station.
The suspect has been detained and will appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court soon.
