Fortunate escape for home owner as would-be burglars flee

Four suspects attempted to break into a house in Grove End Road, Beyers Park, at around 10.05am on April 7.

According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the complainant spotted a vehicle with four occupants outside her house.

“One of the occupants jumped the wall and forced open the motor gate,” said Coetzer.

“The complainant went to hide in her room when she saw two people in her yard.

”She contacted the area’s security and a few minutes later heard a vehicle’s hooter blowing outside her property.

“The suspects then fled the scene.”

It was later discovered that the burglar door had been broken, but nothing was stolen from the house.

A house break-in case was opened at the Boksburg North SAPS.
