Just In: Robber shot dead in Rondebult Road

The Advertiser understands that the deceased and his three accomplices had robbed an unknown man of an undisclosed amount of money.

The victim was travelling in a bakkie along the Rondebult Road,  near the N17 highway.

In the process, the robbers shot the man in the hand and was rushed to the hospital for further treatment.

The EMPD reacted to the incident and upon arriving, shot one of the robbers before his accomplices fled the scene in a black Golf.

They were chased towards Germiston, where they abandoned the car and fled on foot.

The hunt is still on for the suspects.
