CFC reaches out to the needy at New Beginnings Care Centre

The Atlasville based Christian Family Church (CFC) visited New Beginnings Care Centre recently, to minister to some of the needs of the destitute families.

About 50 visitors from the church spent almost the whole day at the centre, where they had a talk with the abused women, interacted with the children and prepared lunch.

According to Past Annette Myers, the visit was part of the church’s community outreach programme.

Myers said it is the responsibility of a church to care for everyone and, thus, they cannot fold their arms and do nothing about people who have fallen into the pit of despair.

“We have to find a way to help them to climb out,” she added.

“It was for the first time I visited the centre and I was very shocked to see how people’s lives have been impacted.

“We can lift them out of extreme poverty by helping them to find employment and skills and providing them with clothing and other necessities.”
