This follows a complaint by CPF member Elvin Foster, regarding officers not properly removing all the plants.
“When the officers eventually visited the site to uproot the plants they left some behind,” Foster said.
Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Const Nkemeleng Mabula said the dagga plants were not left deliberately.
“Some were deep rooted and others needed to be chopped. We will take necessary steps to make sure that all the plants are removed completely,” he said.
“We really appreciate the community for showing concern about this matter. We need them more than ever before to fight crime and substance abuse.”
