This is after the suspect and his accomplice robbed a man who was walking home in Villa Liza.
According to Constable Nkemeleng Mabula from the Dawn Park Police Station, they received a complaint from a victim who was attacked just minutes after getting out a taxi on Sunday, February 28.
The complainant alleged three men assaulted him, hitting him in the head with a sharp object. The suspects also stole his cellphone.
This is when the victim sought help, which resulted in the pursuit. The police were also called to help with the arrest.
The suspect will appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court soon.
