As part of the recently launched crime prevention operation, dubbed ”Operation Bumper to Bumper”, dozens of EMPD officers from various precincts raided different Boksburg suburbs on Tuesday morning.
They managed to arrest 20 people in the areas falling under Boksburg North SAPS policing precinct, while, the other 29 were arrested in various areas falling under the Boksburg SAPS policing precinct.
The EMPD’s Wilson Makaula said the operation is a law enforcement campaign, intended to prevent crime and to intensify police visibility, as well as traffic and by-law enforcement.
Makaula added that EMPD members will continue to carry out unannounced raids in the city to ensure the safety of residents. -@FanieFLK
