Sunward Park learner believes in new inventions in the world

Sunward Park High School learner S'babalo Dumusa Ntakana attended school with a clear intention.

He believes there is still a room for improvement and for new inventions in the world, such that he intends to find a cure for incurables viruses and not just the treatment.

S’babalo’s dream went one step further when he passed matric with six distinctions, in physical science, mathematics, geography, life sciences, religion studies and life orientation.

He said his intention was to finish matric well and not just pass it.

To achieve this, he put aside all the extramural activities and concentrated on his studies.

On his achievements, S’babalo said he was shocked to be the second best at his school.

“Throughout the year I came fifth or sixth, so it really came as a shock but it’s a good feeling knowing that I have achieved something great,” he said.

He will be studying medicine at Wits University

His advice to the youth is that if you want to improve your life, you can do so through education.
