Watch out for the local matric results

The Advertiser will publishing the local matric results as they are released this Wednesday, January 6.

The 2015 National Senior Certificate (matric) results will first be announced during a live broadcast on SABC and eNCA at 6pm on January 5.

Individual results of the 2015 National Senior Certificate will then be available on 6 January 2016 at schools and also on Department of of Basic Education website.

The Advertiser will also be covering the local IEB results, so keep an eye out for the results on Monday, January 4.

With a pass rate of 98.30 per cent, matriculants who wrote the Independent Examinations Board examinations has surely ended the year on a high note.

This year, 10 212 full-time and 563 part-time candidates from 200 schools across Southern Africa wrote the IEB National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.

Of the 10 212 full-time pupils, 10 038 pupils passed, all of whom achieved a pass that is good enough to enter tertiary study at one of the three levels.
