Summerfields Primary supports Motor Neuron Disease Foundation

Summerfields Primary School supported the Motor Neuron Disease Foundation this year when six cyclists participated in the 94.7 Cycle Challenge Ride for a Purpose.

A cheque for R25 000 was handed over to Pieter van der Westhuizen, brother of Joost van der Westhuizen, of the J9 Foundation for Motor Neuron Disease on December 9.

Seen with him is Bev Vermeulen, a former teacher from Summerfields Primary School, who has Motor Neuron Disease.

The school thanked everyone who sent in donations.
