Samoan missionaries spread Gospel in Boksburg

A missionary group from Samoa - a sovereign state in Polynesia - is currently visiting Boksburg.

The group, that hails from the Worship Centre World Wide Christian Church, travels the world to bring the gospel to different nations and has, in the past, visited Tonga, New Zealand and Australia.

The missionaries have been in Boksburg for the past two months and are set to remain here for a while.

On November 26, they assisted the staff at New Beginnings Care Centre by handing out food parcels to the needy.

“It is my first time coming to South Africa and I’m here to help to feed the poor, to spread the gospel to the residents of Boksburg and encourage the broken-hearted that there is hope.

“In Samoa we run an evangelism programme where we reach out to communities in faith and deed,” said Pastor Hynie Lealamisa.

The group said Boksburg residents have been welcoming.

“People are eager to listen to what we have to say and what we have to share,” they explained.

Grace Luteru, from the group, said: “I am happy to be in Boksburg and to see so many wonderful people of the Lord who are so friendly. We are a very passionate group, focusing on the Kingdom of God.”

Pastor Stephen du Plessis, of New Beginnings, said it is a privilege to welcome the missionaries to Boksburg, as they will assist his ministry to render the services of God to the people of the city.
