Reiger Park SAPS detectives win top award
Reiger Park SAPS Detectives scooped the Detective Group of the Year accolade, during the Brakpan Cluster Medal and Prestige Awards ceremony that was recently held at the Birchwood Hotel.
The ceremony was held to honour and award the officials from the Brakpan cluster – Boksburg North SAPS, Boksburg SAPS, Brakpan SAPS, Reiger Park SAPS and Tsakane SAPS – for their outstanding performance, hard work and dedication throughout the year 2015.
Sgt Jordace Samuels, from the Boksburg SAPS, was named the first runner-up in the Vispol Employee of the Year Level Three to Seven category.
The Boksburg North SAPS pocketed two awards in different categories:
* The police station was named second runner-up in the category Vispol Group of the Year;
* Adj Gideon O’Neill received a trophy and certificate for second runner-up Detective Employee of the Year Level Eight to 12.
Gauteng Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Detective Services Maj-Gen Vincent Leshabane, Provincial Community Policing Board chairperson and Interpol Ambassador for the Turn Back Crime Campaign Andy Mashaile, along with Brakpan Cluster Commander Brig Wessie van der Westhuizen presented the winners with their awards.
Other categories included Administration Employee of the Year, Crime Intelligence Employee of the Year, Best Performing Person of the Year, Best Performing CPF of the Year, and Sportswomen of the Year. – @IschkeBoksburg
