New CPF launched in Boksburg South

In an effort to bring crime to its knees, Boksburg South residents, in partnership with the Boksburg police, launched their Community Policing Forum on Sunday, September 20.

According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese and the chairperson of the sub-forum, Jacqui Jordaan, except for a few isolated cases of house break-ins, Boksburg South Extension Three is one of the suburbs within the Boksburg SAPS policing precinct that is not badly affected by crime.

“It is fairly a quiet suburb in terms of crime and we, as the community members, are committed to work with our police to ensure that our area remains protected against criminals,” said Jordaan.

The forum will again gather at the park on Solomon Street, to elect committee members, at 2pm on October 18.

The forum covers the Boksburg South areas, including the businesses and residential areas from Dudley Smith Road, opposite the Boksburg Stadium, on the southern side of Jubilee Road, down to Christian Brother’s College.

To find out more about the forum residents should phone Jordaan on 072 392 1042.
