The couple was stabbed and succumbed to their injuries in their house on September 9.
According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the investigating officer followed up further leads which led to the arrest of the second suspect at around 2pm today.
He was arrested in Joe Slovo Informal Settlement in Reiger Park.
The first suspect was arrested yesterday evening.
