Birchwood Hotel protest enters second day
About 145 workers of Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre are continuing with their protest over retrenchment today.
According to a Saccawu (South African Commercial and Allied Workers Union) statement, the trade union is unhappy over Birchwood’s decision to retrench the employees.
Protesters are along North Rand Road. Caution is advised.
