According to Santi Steinmann, Media Liaison Officer Netcare 911, paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that four vehicles were involved in a chain reaction rear-end crash.
“Upon assessment of all the occupants, paramedics found that two people sustained injuries during the accident,” said Steinmann.
“A 35-year old woman was found to have sustained serious injuries during the accident and after receiving treatment at the scene, paramedics transported her to hospital for further medical care.
“The second injured patient was also treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical treatment.
“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.”
