Wool Centre’s act of kindness benefits trauma support centre

As a random act of kindness, the Wool Centre Boksburg donated wool, looms, needles and soft toys to the Ithemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre, on May 20.

“We have a group of women who are learning to knit. Blankets will also be distributed to the young women and children who we counsel at our offices,” said Ithemba board member Michelle Sayer.

All soft toys will be included in Ithemba’s dignity packs which each ‘victim’ receives at their first visit with the social workers.

The Wool Centre also thanked all customers for their donations and support.

“Without our customers we will not be able to assist needy charities in our community and surrounding areas,” said Elizabeth Evans, owner of the Wool Centre.

The Wool Centre conducts charity drives on a regular basis, supporting a different organisation or group every time. – @IschkeBoksburg
