The leak was at the corner of Third Street and 11th Avenue, Boksburg North.
She also said a short distance from the leak, is a very dangerous sinkhole.
Ekurhuleni Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe said the water leak was repaired on Friday, May 8, and finalised on May 11.
Regarding the sinkhole, which is approximately 20m from the leak, Gadebe said the hole seems to be a stormwater junction box that collapsed and will be forwarded to the Roads and Stormwater Department to attend to it.
