According to metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe, it is for this reason that the Ekurhuleni Metro once again calls upon its residents to give their comments on how the city should spend ratepayers’ money as ahead of the Budget Speech, to be delivered on Thursday, May 28, at Germiston Civic Center.
Draft copies of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and 2015/16 – 2017/18 municipal budget can be viewed at all pay points and libraries across Ekurhuleni and can be viewed on the municipal official website at www.ekurhuleni.gov.za.
Residents are advised to give their budget tips through comment boxes at the venues displaying the documents. Tips can also be emailed to Budgettips@ekurhuleni.gov.za or online via the municipal official website.
The closing date for the budget tips is Thursday, April 30.
