‘Ritual sex’ case goes to regional court

The case of a Witfield pastor and the grandparents and uncle of a nine-year-old boy, whom they allegedly raped and molested in an apparent satanic ritual, has been postponed to the regional court.

The four appeared in court on March 18, after they were each granted R4 000 bail, in the Germiston Magistrates Court, on March 3.

The SAPS’s Occult-Related Crime Unit investigating officer Col Hendrick de Jager, said they are still awaiting a regional court date.

Police previously reported that interviews with the child revealed that the group had allegedly raped and molested him multiple times over the years.
