Woman (30) critical after collision
A woman in her 30s was left in a critical condition after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Trichardts and Ridge roads, today.
ER24 paramedics from the Johannesburg East branch arrived on the scene and found the two wrecked vehicles in the middle of the intersection.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said: “On inspection, paramedics discovered a woman lying in the front of one of the vehicles, in a critical condition.”
“They carefully removed the patient from the vehicle and immediately provided her with advanced life support treatment.”
She was then transported to the Glynnwood Hospital, in Benoni, for further medical care.
The driver of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the collision is not yet known, but local authorities are investigating.
