According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Liut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, ther men entered the store and held staff as well as customers at gunpoint, before making off with R5 000 in cash as well as a number of brand new cellphones.
“A terrified staff member was made to unlock the safe, before the robbers loaded the money and scores of cellphones into bags.
“They then fled the scene. It is unclear if they had a waiting getaway vehicle nearby.”
No shots were fired and no one was injured.
