Fraud suspects in hot water over illegal diesel purchase

Two fraud suspects were arrested during the early morning hours on January 6.

According to Boksburg North SAPS communications officer Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the two suspects bought diesel at the Caltex garage in Rolls Royce Street, Impala Park, and tried to pay for it with a fraudulent vehicle fleet card.

They were apprehended and the Boksburg North sector vehicle was called.

“One suspect was apprehended by the personnel of the garage, while the other suspect fled on foot. He was chased by a CMS security vehicle and apprehended in Edwin Street, Bartlett,” Coetzer said.

Both suspects were detained at the Boksburg North SAPS, where a fraud case was registered.

“Well done by the Boksburg North SAPS and CMS security personnel for working hand-in-hand in curbing crime in the area,” said Coetzer. – @IschkeBoksburg
