Taxi rank still closed until further notice

This is according to the Reiger Park Taxi Association PRO, Mike Sultan.

Taxis are still not operating in Windmill Park following shooting which claimed five lives on November 20.

The MEC for Transport, Ismail Vadi, will decide when taxis will start operating again.

“The taxis are still not operating and it is an inconvenience to us, as well as the commuters.” said Sultan.”We are now waiting for the MEC to tell us when can we go back to work.

“On December 17, Vadi held a meeting with us and he gave instructions and guidelines, which includes that all drivers need to have operating licences,” said Sultan. -@NalediBoksburg
