1 216.15kg food donated to the SPCA

A total of 1 216.15 kg dog- and cat food were delivered to the Boksburg SPCA on Wednesday, December 10.

Local companies cooperated and collected and bought the animal food.

Lesley Pountain and Gary Young from Chas Everitt International Property Group, Boksburg branch, initiated the food collection, whereby Wilma Ewest Attorneys, Hammond Pole Attorneys, KNB Attorneys, Gregory Graham and Armando de Freitas, and Pick n Pay, Elspark, were approached.

All the companies proudly supported the collection.

The two biggest monetary contributors were Wilma Ewest Attorneys and Gregory Graham and Armando de Freitas.

The 1 216.15 kg food consisted of:

* 960kg new bags of dog food;

* 24.6kg tinned cat food;

* 45.8kg damaged cat food bags; and

* 185.75kg damaged dog food bags.

The year marked the second annual Christmas contribution from these companies towards the society. – @IschkeBoksburg
