Dawn Park to walk against crime

Dawn Park residents will be walking against crime on December 20, from 7.30am.

“We are inviting our community to come together and make a stand against crime, as well as give them a chance to learn of methods to protect themselves and their families,” says one of the organisers, Onice Ramakgapola.

“Our local SAPS members have been invited. We are also making use of this event to help our local charities – Khaya Labantwana and Zenzele home-based care in Windmill Park.

“All attendees have been asked to make a small donation of either non-perishable foods or secondhand kids clothes and toys.

“The walk will start at the corner of Hassink and West Central streets. We will then proceed on West Central until it leads us out on to Rondebult Road. Then we will proceed until we reach South Boundary Street, which leads us back into Dawn Park.”

Residents who would like to participate may contact Ramakgapola on 078 987 2988. – @NalediBoksburg
